5Like Butter Baby
By Christima
I was very nervous at first b/c I've never heard of Chemical Guys, but after one use of this wax I'm a loyal customer. I am ultra impressed. The wax itself was easy to apply and wipe off. There wasn't any white film, just a wet glossy mirrored look. I have a 2000 Mustang that looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor. I have submitted photos so you can be the judge!!!

5Been A Detailer For Fifteen Years...
By Todd G. Standland
And I have used many, many different waxing and polishing products on cars. One I used religiously for years was NuFinish, and excellent polymer polish that can be applied and removed easily in the scorching, Florida summers I work in.

Late last year (2009), I discovered a product called Meguires Cleaner Wax which is a carnuba-based polishing product, and I moved on from NuFinish (but always keep a bottle of NuFinish in your supply cabinet for those BLAZING hot days though). That said, Meguires cleaner-wax adds a deeper, wetter shine than NuFinish but does have it's limitations in removal in the hot sun, especially on darker color paint jobs. You have to ploish section-by-section with it.

Then I came across Chemical Guys' Butter Wet Wax, and just let me say, when I detailed several of my customers' vehicles, they were extremely impressed with the finish, and I was impressed with the way it applied and was removed in the hot sun.

Chemical G uys doesn't lie, their Butter Wet Wax looks absolutely amazing, especially when it's applied over an already existing polish and/or wax job. It leaves a deep, mirror finish that actually looks wet. The darker the color the wetter the look. I tested Butter Wet on mine and my mom's car (both are white), but they still looked very, very good, but when I was able to use some on a few of my customers' dark-colored cars, I just stood back and admired the result.

Try it.

Buy the 16 oz. bottle first and test-try the product out and see how you like it and I believe you'll be impressed enough to go ahead and buy the gallon supply and you will probably come back for more. One 16 oz. bottle should easily be enough for 20 - 30 or more cars depending on size. It spreads evenly and doesn't take a lot to get the job down. Always keep your applicator pads just slightly moist-damp though, not heavy-damp or dripping wet, as I've found only moist-damp offers the best appl ication because of the oils already in the wax.

Also remember though, this product works better over an already existing polish job. On your repeat customers (or just your own car), I've found the Meguires cleaner-wax or NuFinish offer a great base coat and then the Butter Wax sends the shine to an entirely different level. Then you can just use a detailing spray a few times to gloss it out again until you use Butter Wet again.

It's really an impressive product, and btw, I just ordered the gallon supply.

3After 1 month use
By Tran
Changed my 5 star to 3 stars (more like 3.5) because of durability
Clayed and paste cleaned my car to glass smoothness on 9/22, washed and rewaxed today 0/27. so in 31 days of bipolar weather ranging from warm, to cold and rainy has done a number on the wax. Water sheeted off way to slow for my liking after just a month. It was still easy to wash mud off my car so at least some of the wax was left on my car for some minimal protection. So in moderate weather expect a month of protection, which disappoints me because of its candy wet shine is wonderful. I think I will try colinite 845 (2-4 months between waxes) and top it off with BWW to see if I get the same wet effect and still have long protection from the colinite.

product use description:
Smells like artificial banannas and its yellow, so fight the urge to taste it because its toxic XD
Easily applied compared to other liquid waxes and wipes off super clean minimal buffing needed.
Prof essional grade was on the bottle and I cant argue with the results, just need to reapply every month.

Bottom line:
Hard to beat the wet shine for the price
Durability is not as impressive
